I do know that some vegetarians choose to eat gelatin but gelatin is not considered to be vegetarian because it's a slaughter byproduct. I think a lot of vegetarians eat gelatin because they're not aware they're not supposed to be eating it! I think there's just different levels of vegetarianism (strict vs. not strict) as well as veganism (eating honey vs not eating it) so I can obviously respect people's personal choices. They're making a big difference by just not eating meat in the first place! Thank you for your clarification, love your site. :)

Yeah that definitely makes sense. I just wanted to clarify that I added it to the vegetarian category, because many vegetarians DO eat gelatin. So I felt that it was OK for me to include it in that category. However, vegans have much stricter dietary guidelines and do not eat gelatin, so this would definitely not be listed in the vegan recipes category. Hope that helps make sense of my intentions. :)

Thanks so much for your input! Vegetarians aren't allowed to have gelatin (or glycerin usually), and the icing in these poptarts has gelatin in it, so these are NOT suitable for vegetarians.

Not trying to be rude, but this should NOT be filed under vegetarian! Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup,Vegetable oil (Palm, Canola), Polydestrose, Vital Wheat Gluten, Glycerin, Modified Corn Starch, Leavening Agents (Ammonium Bicarbonate, Baking Soda), Red 40, Blue 1 and Other Color Added, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Gelatin, Enzyme Modified Soy Protein, TBHQ added to preserve freshness.
These are by far, not good for you at all. Yuck!!

Even though certain products are low in points, doesn't mean that they're healthy or good for you. They are the same calorie, fat & fiber as the Fiber One Tarts.

Pop Tarts actually came out with their own high fiber pop tarts. Love your recipes, though!

Just because something is low in Weight Watchers points does not mean that it's healthy.
