NEW Applebee’s Weight Watchers Menu!!!!
As I’m sure many of you might have heard, Applebee’s Restaurant has launched a new line of DEEEEE-LICIOUS new Weight Watchers Menu Items! (Applebee’s refers to them as their “Under 550 Calories Menu”) Currently, the nutritional information isn’t available online, BUT the calorie count for each dish is available at all California Applebee’s Restaurant locations. Well, guess who’s located in CA, folks? That’s right…ME! As soon as I heard about the arrival of these fabulous new dishes, I ran on over to the nearest Applebee’s and gave them a try. I took my friends, and we each got one of the new Weight Watchers meals. And I made sure to snag the calorie counts while I was there too! Read on to get the scoop for each dish!
Ok, here’s the skinny on Applebee’s new meal items. It’s pretty much impossible to get the Points values, because Applebee’s doesn’t list the fat or fiber grams in their meals, but I’m working as hard as I can how to find this out. So I’ll keep you posted if I make any headway.

You don’t say how they tasted? Were they good?

I love their 4 oz steak with portabella mushrooms. It has a few potatoes and veggies on the side. So far the veggie has always been broccoli, which isn’t my favorite, but theirs is good, esp. if you squeeze the lemon on it. I believe it is 8 points which is listed on the menu. I have been surfing the net trying to find the points value for these new “under 500 calorie” recipes, but haven’t found them yet. Most low calorie meals are heavily padded with bell peppers, which I hate. It is hard to find meals without them.

You didn’t post the points. I too have tried to find the point values online and they are saying.

I tried the Italian chicken and portabella sandwich from their new menu. (I don’t remember the points value.) It was VERY bland. I was disappointed.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention that!! Yes, they were all pretty good! My favorite though, by far, was the Asiago Peppercorn Steak. Yummy!! But they were all very enjoyable and satisfying.

What’s also nice is that these entrees actually look healthy too.

Had the grilled chicken dijon and portobellos tonite at Applebees. It was delicious!! I had to bring some home because I couldn’t finish it all. The dijon sauce really makes this dish!!

I have tried the Shrimp and Island Rice along with the Spicy Shrimp Diavolo. They are both VERY delicious and filling. The island rice has pineapple and mandarin oranges in it, and the whole wheat penne pasta tastes great. Thank you so much for posting the calorie counts, it has been most helpful! But I do have a question; do you have the calorie counts of any other dishes (besides the weight watchers)? I live in Ohio and restaurants are not required to have that information available.

I don’t have the calorie count for any of their other menu items, but I think you can get them just by calling their headquarters. I never even attempted to get the calories for thir other menu items because I’m sure that they aren’t weight watcher friendly, so I just never bothered. But keep us posted if you decide to get them!

I have had the chicken and vegetable dish at least 5 times. Absolutely delicious. For me, it is a lot of food. I eat half, and take half home for another meal. Eventually I’ll try the steak.
