Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps – 3 Points +

Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps

These unique and delicious little treats are today’s Fabulous Food Find. Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps are a super crunchy and flavorful snack that are 70% actual pea. That may sound odd, but I cannot tell you how much I love these things! I first bought them as a snack for my son, in a desperate effort to get him to eat more vegetables. But both my husband and I ended up falling in love with them and enjoy them regularly as a crunchy, late night snack instead of calorie laden potato chips. They have less fat and sodium, are higher in fiber, are gluten free, and have higher levels of protein and Vitamin B. Plus, each serving (22 pieces) has just 3 Points +. My favorite way to enjoy these is just straight out of the bag, but they are also excellent on salads and as a crunchy topper on casseroles. They come in four guilt-free flavors: Lightly Salted, Black Pepper, Cesar, and Wasabi Ranch. All are equally delicious and Weight Watchers friendly. They also have a Lentil Snap version too, which I haven’t tried yet. But those are also just 3 Points + per serving, and come in two flavors: Tomato Basil and Onion Thyme…sounds delicious!

Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps

Great for munching and crunching, Snapea Crisps Harvest Snaps are a real, nutrition-rich treat, and they make a much better snack alternative to potato chips. The taste is fantastic, and I was surprised to discover that they are actually 70% pea! I don’t even like peas, but these are AWESOME! Do some research… these things are not that good for you. They are made with genetically modified corn oil and have the same calorie and fat content as Doritos. Remember.. If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t.

    • Good message, but a little wrong with your facts. Doritos have 8 grams of fat and 150 calories per 1 oz serving. Snapea Crisps in the lightly salted variety are 110 calories and 4.5 grams of fat per 1 oz serving. Not everyone can afford organic, non-GMO snack foods when cravings hit. Though personally, I prefer to air pop some organic popcorn and toss with salt and nutritional yeast.

But when given a choice between these and traditional chips, these win.

YES! I bought a big box of these at Costco not being sure what they were or if I would like them. Boy, do I! I really enjoy the taste and also like that snacking on Snapea Crisps actually FEEDS my body with good nutrition.
