Many of you have emailed or submitted comments asking how to calculate your daily Points Plus allowance, so I thought it might be helpful to post all the details you need to help you out. First of all, if you are a Weight Watchers member, you really should just purchase their Points Plus calculator. It’s very inexpensive, and it allows you to not only track and calculate Points Plus values for foods, and the amount of Points Plus you’ve used in a day, it also will calculate your Points Plus allowance.
Another option, is to check out the page on my blog that provides you with some links on how to calculate your daily Weight Watchers Points Plus Allowance. On this page, I’ve provided direct links to free online Weight Watchers Calculators that were created by a fellow Weight Watchers member. She has put together some amazing WW cheat cheats that I highly recommend you check out, as they will help you:
– Determine your Weight Watchers Points Plus Daily Allowance
– Calculate Activity Points Plus
– Calculate Food Points Plus
Additionally, the site offers a great zero Points Plus Food List, a Filling Foods List, Good Health Guidelines, and TONS of other great tips and tools. I find it a lot easier to use than the Weight Watchers Online E-Tools!
I know that it is frustrating to many of us who’ve been struggling to find free Weight Watchers information…it’s really a shame that Weight Watchers has made that so difficult (P.S. Don’t be surprised if they make me take down this post!). But hopefully, as a community of Weight Watchers, we can continue to help and support each other and make our biggest struggle to shed the pounds vs. tracking down the tools that we need to follow the program.
And in the meantime, I’ll get back to working on some more free Weight Watchers Recipes!!
Thank you all for your support and for reading my blog. :)
For a limited time, Weight Watchers is allowing anyone, not just their paying members to use their online PointsPlus Calculator for FREE!!! This is because they’ve had a shortage of those little blue Points Plus Calculators that you can buy at the Weight Watchers meetings. So, until they can sufficiently replenish their stock, take advantage of this and use it to help keep you on track!
Here’s the link: Free Weight Watchers Points Plus Calculator!!
Ok, so here’s the deal, folks, I went to my Weight Watchers meeting this past Saturday and learned all about the new Points Plus Program. And of I bought a ton of materials to help me out – one of which includes the new Weight Watchers Dining Out Companion which is VITAL if you want to know the new Points Plus values for all your fave restaurants. The other must buy item was the new Points Calculator, which Weight Watchers now REQUIRES you to have if you want to figure out the new Points Plus values for everything you eat. Sad that it’s not the free, sliding Points Finder like before, which was so easy…..oh, and did I mention it was FREE?!? So, given that this digital Points calculator is a must, I ponied up the funds and bought it. I only paid $5.95 instead of the regular price of $11.95 — this was a special they were having through December, so folks, I highly recommend taking advantage of this item while it’s at such a good price, as there’s no way around it — you will NEED it if you want to follow the new Weight Watchers Points Plus plan. Which brings me to another topic of discussion — my recipes. In my previous post, I mentioned that I would be posting both the old Points value and the new Points Plus value for each new recipe. However, after much consideration and many emails from my readers, and please don’t hate me for this, but I’ve decided to post only the new Points Plus values for all new recipes. I realize that this may be a bummer for all of you who still wish to follow the Points plan, but in not too long, the old Points plan will be entirely irrelevant. With all of the old Points info online diminishing quickly, it’s just going to be too complicated and time consuming to include both Points values in my recipes. Additionally, the new Points Plus program really is great and makes a lot of sense. It also encourages healthier eating, which I really love. Since I’ve embraced the new program, I really hope that all of you will too. As for all my old recipes, for now, I will keep them as the old Points value, but may try to change that in the not too soon future. Together, we’ll get through the change and fully switch over to the new Points Plus plan! Stay tuned for my very first Points + recipe later today!!
As you’ll see in all of the low calorie recipes that I post, there is a “Point Total” given for each serving. And many of you have asked how to calculate your individual daily WW Points, in order to know the total number of points you are allowed to eat in a day. While I cannot tell you how to determine your Weight Watchers Points Target, as I am not affiliated with Weight Watchers, I can share with you the way to calculate your allotted daily point total for LaaLoosh Recipes. :) Simply answer the questions, and add up your score!
I’ve decided to share my ultimate weight watchers shopping list with all of you in the hopes that you’ll find it helpful when you are at the store and can’t remember which diet friendly items to get. This list is comprised of my primary staple food items that I frequently cook with or use as ingredients in various weight watchers recipes. It also has great low calorie snacks and condiments that I have found to be key in helping keep me on track with maintaining my daily points value intake. Though this is not an official Weight Watchers grocery list, I’m sure their members, as well as any other dieter will enjoy having this helpful list on hand when at the market.
If you love ice cream like I do, and you are following the Weight Watchers program, checkout their article on all the facts you need to know about how to still enjoy ice cream while you are on a diet.
“If you’ve been avoiding ice cream, we’ve got good news: There are many satisfying ways to enjoy this warm-weather favorite that won’t derail your weight-loss efforts. Here’s a must-have guide for summer ice cream runs…”

Aside from my fabulous blog ;), which is FREE, if you are looking to invest some $$ in some good Weight Watcher Recipe books, here’s a list of my favorites. They all have fabulous Weight Watchers Recipes with the Points value in each. Check them out:
I just wanted to thank you all so much for all your support with the hassle I’ve been dealing with regarding all the Weight Watchers Recipes that I’ve posted. Many of you have sent me emails expressing your suggestions and enthusiasm for my blog, and I just wanted to let you all know that it is much appreciated! I’m also so touched to hear about all of the success many of you have had with Weight Watchers, and that’s incredible!! It’s so inspiring to hear. And you guys had great suggestions for ways that I can post helpful Weight Watchers recipes without actually using their trademarked terminology. Although I am still making changes on the site, it turns out that they will not have to be that major. Instead of “Weight Watchers Points”, I will use the term “Point Value” or “Weight Watcher Point Value”. Hopefully Weight Watchers will leave me alone if I use these terms instead! The free printable food journal is still up and ready for download, I just had to reword a few items on it, but it still has all the helpful info you’ll need. And I will begin the long task of changing the names of my previously posted recipes. Nonetheless, I will do my best to continue to post awesome recipes that will be helpful to anyone following the Weight Watcher plan, so no worries!
Also I know that many of you have asked me to send you the free Weight Watchers Points Calculator that I had, but unfortunately, I’m not able to send it because it was a code…not a link or anything that could be viewable in an email. But I am trying to look into a way to get a calculator on the site…hopefully I can come up with something soon!
More recipes on the way soon, so stay posted! And thanks again for all of your encouragement and support! You guys ROCK!!
Hi Everyone! Thank you all so much for reading my blog! I know that most of you are Weight Watchers members and have found these recipes to be really helpful. They have been incredibly helpful to me as well, which is why I created this blog in the first place.
But now I have some news to share regarding some changes that I am being forced to make to the site. I was recently contacted by Weight Watchers about using their “Points” calculator, their recipes, and the useage of the term “Points” or the useage of the term “Weight Watchers” for any recipes that I’ve created, or any that have been submitted by my readers. Bottom line is, I’m not allowed to use any of their info, as it is trademarked and is their copyrighted property. I tried to work with them, explaining that my website only says positive things about Weight Watchers, and that it’s quite helpful to their members, but they felt that my site would confuse people into thinking that I am affiliated with Weight Watchers. I get the legality of it all, but it’s really such a shame, and unfortunately, the only people who get dis-serviced here are all of you. These recipes are here to help you, as Weight Watchers members, achieve weight loss success. I’m really quite surprised that such a large corporation as Weight Watchers would take the time to bother with an individual like me, who is nothing but supportive of their program and their paying customers, but it is what it is.
So, from now on, I have to make some changes to the site….don’t worry, there will still be plenty of recipes that I will post, but I cannot refer to them as Weight Watchers Recipes nor can I give them a “Points” value. So, I need to spend a LOT of time going through my blog and removing all the Weight Watchers Points and Weight Watchers Recipes terms, and until I have finished that, I may not be able to post a lot of recipes as frequently as I used to. But please check in, because I WILL still be posting…just not daily for a while. Also, I will need to find alternative phrasing in order to supply you all with the info that you need to know from the recipes. Hopefully, you’ll be able to understand my new recipe format. :)
So that’s the scoop for now! And if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! Thanks again for all your support and for taking the time to read me!
For those of you following the Weight Watchers Program, you should be logging your daily food intake. Doing this is an incredibly helpful tool in getting you to your weight loss goals, and a recent study by the American Journal of Preventative Medicine found that people who keep a food diary enjoy twice the weight loss of those who rely solely on dieting and exercising. So, I’ve created this awesome Weight Watchers Food Journal that you can download and print – for FREE! It’s very easy to use — simply write down the food that you eat and its Points value, and then deduct it from your daily Points balance. You can even track your Flex Points used! I also included little check boxes that will help you make sure you are consuming your recommended portions of water, dairy and fruits & vegetables. Using this Weight Watchers Food Diary couldn’t be easier!
I hope you’ll find this daily food journal as helpful as I have and that it will help you stick to your Daily Points Range and be aware of what you are eating everyday.
