As far as low calorie prepared frozen desserts go, Skinny Cow takes the cake, in my opinion. I have tried just about every single one of their frozen sweet treats, and I have yet to be disappointed. And their new Cookies ‘n Dough Candy Bars Made with Low Fat Ice Cream are no exception – they are delicious! Just the perfect size that leaves me feeling satisfied and my craving feeling conquered. It’s the perfectly portion controlled goodie for when you need a sweet fix, STAT. With just the right amount of chocolate, caramel, ice cream and cookie dough chunks, I don’t feel deprived and I don’t feel guilty! At just 4 Points Plus per bar, Skinny Cow Cookies ‘n Dough Ice Cream Bars are a fantastic way to treat yourself.
Just spotted these new, low calorie ice cream bars at Sprouts, and they are sooooooo good, I couldn’t wait to share! Enlightened, The Good For You Ice Cream, has launched a line of ice cream bars that are just 70 calories each and only 3g of sugar, with NO artificial sweeteners, and are only 2 Points + per bar. They also don’t have any synthetic dyes or flavors, which is great. But most importantly, they taste fantastic, and make a great sweet tooth satisfy-er for when I need ice cream, but don’t have many Weight Watchers Points Plus left to spend. Sure, there are lots of other frozen treats out there in stores that are low in Points, but I love Enlightened because they have really kept their product natural. And they are loaded with fiber and protein, so they really help keep you satisfied.
Here it is folks, the first official day of summer! And what better way to kick off the season than with the announcement from Baskin-Robbins that they have some AMAZING new low Points Plus ice cream flavors!!! They are a part of their BRight Choices menu selections and are premium churned, light, no sugar added ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet selections. Each serving will be 2-3 Points Plusceach, which is fantastic news for Weight Watchers ice cream lovers. So now you can go out for ice cream and have some incredible options to choose from. These flavors will be available at participating Baskin-Robbins shops across the U.S. at select times during the summer months. Wanna know what the flavors are? Of COURSE you do! Don’t worry…I’ll tell you. Keep reading!
If you are a fan of frozen yogurt, you’re going to flip for the new Stonyfield Oikos Organic Nonfat Greek Frozen Yogurt. Not only is it super creamy, and much better tasting than most frozen yogurts I’ve tried, the nutritional stats are awesome! Each 1/2 cup has just 3 Points Plus. I also love that it has a lot more protein than most other frozen yogurts, and it’s organic. Not too tart tasting, it’s a perfect healthier alternative to ice cream and comes in 4 fabulous flavors!
If you want a great, low calorie dessert idea that doesn’t require any preparation or cooking, and has just 3 PointsPlus per serving, get to grocery store ASAP and check the freezer aisles for Dreyer’s two new flavors in their Slow Churned Light Ice Cream Line – Triple Cookie Fudge Sundae Ice Cream and Triple Chocolate Peanut Butter Sundae Ice Cream. Anything that has more descriptive words in the product name than PointsPlus in the serving, I am DOWN to try! Each of these flavors are very rich and creamy, so you really feel satisfied and it’s not that hard to cut yourself off after one or two servings. (keep in mind, this is coming from a girl who can down a whole pint of Haagen Dazs without blinking).
In the midst of this hot summer, having a nice cool, creamy ice cream bar sounds ideal. But if you are a Weight Watcher, it’s not always easy to find low calorie ice cream bars that are tasty and low in Weight Watchers Points. When I spotted these Skinny Cow Truffle Bars on supermarket shelves, I couldn’t wait to try one! In fact, I tore open the box as soon as I got in the car, and whipped one of those babies out! Yowsa!!! They are deeeeeeelish! Smooth and creamy, and elegantly drizzled with chocolate, these decadent ice cream treats are a must.
This ice cream sandwich recipe is so beyond good, no one will have any idea that they are actually eating a healthy, Weight Watchers friendly one! Its rich, chocolate-y, decadent, and incredibly filling! I’ve seen those puny little diet ice cream sandwiches that you can buy at the grocery store, and I don’t know about most of you, but I could easily eat like 3 of those in one sitting. So I came up with this quick and delicious ice cream dessert recipe that will definitely leave you feeling satisfied! They key is in the Vitalicious VitaTops. If you haven’t seen my Friday post about the Deep Chocolate VitaTops Muffin Tops from Vitalicious, you’ve gotta check it out and give these babies a try. They are FULL of fiber and wonderful chocolate yumminess, so they are very fulling, quite good for you, and yet they taste like chocolate cake! They are truly a dieter’s dream. And they make this ice cream sandwich recipe a gourmet delight. With just 4 Weight Watchers Points per sandwich, this is one dessert that gives you an incredible bang for your buck. If it’s too big and chocolate-y for you to handle, just split it half and share it with someone, thus making it a 2 Point dessert!
