Without sacrificing the fabulous ricotta cheese (I used a delicious fat free ricotta from Trader Joe’s) and mozzarella cheese (a reduced fat shredded mozzarella), and also by making a few healthier substitutions, you get a very nicely sized piece of lasagna for just 6 Points +. By using prepared marinara sauce in a jar I was able to shave some time and effort off the preparation, which I always appreciate. The addition of the spinach and mushroom and the lean ground turkey, give this healthy turkey lasagna recipe a lot of fiber and protein. I used oven ready organic whole wheat lasagna noodles that I found at Whole Foods, and they were amazing! So good for you, and truly tasted just as good as traditional lasagna noodles. This low calorie turkey lasagna recipe is a healthy dinner that the whole family will enjoy.

<span

After harassing the waiter into telling me a little bit about some of the ingredients in the recipe, I knew that there was no way I could continue to order this on a regular basis and still stay on track with my Weight Watchers Daily PointsPlus Allowance. So after much research and experimentation in the kitchen, I came up with a low calorie meatballs recipe that is incredibly yummy, but has a LOT less fat and calories that would be found in the restaurant version. By using turkey instead of beef, adding in a lot of fiber, reducing butter and fat and using less carbs, this dish now just has 6 Points+ per serving. It can be used as an appetizer or main dish recipe, and works really well served over some <a

I prepare them over the weekend, pop them in the freezer, and then have a fast go-to meal on hectic days. One of my favorite Weight Watchers Casserole Recipes is for Turkey Shepherd’s Pie. /> - ¼ cup fat free sour cream
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray a non-stick skillet with no-fat cooking spray, and brown the ground turkey. Set aside. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add leeks and carrots and cook, stirring, until the leeks soften, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook, stirring, 1 minute more.
Pour in wine and stir until most of the liquid has evaporated. Add flour, thyme and sage and cook, stirring constantly, until the flour starts to turn light brown, about 2 minutes. Stir in broth and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and the carrots are barely tender, about 5 minutes.
Add turkey and peas and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture to a deep 2-quart baking dish and set aside.
Place potatoes in a large saucepan and add cold salted water to cover. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook, partially covered, until the potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and return the potatoes to the pan.
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or whip with an electric mixer, add buttermilk to make it smooth and creamy, but not runny. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in egg substitute and sour cream.
Spread the potatoes on top of the turkey mixture. Set the dish on a baking sheet and bake until the potatoes and filling are heated through and the top is golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.

Entire recipes makes 6 servings
Yoplait to try out their Nonfat Greek Yogurt and review the product. I love Greek Yogurt, so I was happy to oblige, as I use yogurt in many recipes and had never yet tried Yoplait’s Greek Yogurt. So, after picking up some of the yogurt, I headed into the kitchen last night to try out their Greek Turkey Burger Recipe with Homemade Tzatziki sauce. I’m a big fan of burgers and of Greek food, so I was excited to combine the two. I made a few alterations to the recipe in order to make it more Weight Watchers friendly, and I have to say, these low calorie turkey burgers turned out so yummy!! The feta cheese and homemade Tzatziki sauce really added a nice flavor, while still keeping it low in points. Each burger, with bun and sauce came out to just a 4 Point Total each. While I didn’t find the Yoplait Greek Yogurt better or much different than other non fat Greek yogurts I’ve used, their Greek Turkey Burger is definitely a hit and something that the whole family would enjoy.

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup liquid egg substitute
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp granulated onion powder
- 1/2 tbsp sea salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 8 slices of light Sargento Reduced Fat Provolone Cheese

OPTIONAL: garnish with fresh shredded basil

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place oven racks in top 1/3 of oven. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or foil that’s been coated with non-fat cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine turkey, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, parsley, basil, garlic and salt & pepper. Scoop out turkey mixture and gently shape a small meatball (about the size of a tablespoon) and place on a prepared baking sheet; repeat with remaining ingredients to make 32 meatballs. Bake about 10 to 15 minutes. Make sure to shake the pans every 5 min to promote even browning of the meatballs.
Meanwhile, in a small sauce pan, heat up can of diced tomatoes. Feel free to mix in additional garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt and peeper for extra flavor. It won’t affect the points value.
When meatballs are done, remove from baking sheets. Place rolls on same baking sheets; top each piece with 4 meatballs. Spoon about 3 tablespoons sauce over meatballs in each sandwich; top each with 1 slice of light provolone cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and sandwiches are heated through, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Entire Recipe makes 8 servings<br

I first learned of this recipe through my good friend, and fellow Weight Watcher, Janice, who is the writer of the fabulous blog, Sew Girly. She prepares this white bean chili recipe frequently and after hearing about how fabulous it is, I decided to try it myself, and I was blown away! It is such a nice change of pace from the typical chili recipe! This White Bean Chili also makes a fabulous Weight Watchers Crock Pot Recipe and it makes great leftovers so it tastes even better the next day for lunch! I prefer to prepare this as a crock pot recipe, and then divide the whole thing up into individual portions and freeze them so I can reheat it in a pinch for a quick and easy meal. With just 4 Weight Watchers Points per serving, and TONS of fiber and protein, this dish also makes a fantastic Momentum Plan Recipe. Each serving is really quite large so it will fill you up and won’t be hungry. And there’s nothing better than feeling full when you are dieting!! So if you are following the Weight Watchers Momentum Plan, or if you are just looking to expand your collection of yummy chili recipes, you are gonna want to give this white bean turkey chili a try, ASAP!

Weight Watchers White Bean Turkey Chili Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound extra lean ground turkey (SHOULD BE ABOUT 120 CALORIES PER 4 OZ)
- 2 (4 ounce) cans canned green chile peppers, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Kosher salt to taste
- ground cayenne pepper to taste
- ground white pepper to taste
- 2 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup fat free Half & Half
- 2 – 3 cups fat free chicken broth (add as needed if chili is too thick)
- 1/2 cup reduced fat, shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup green onions

**OPTIONAL: Top with 1 tbsp of reduced fat sour cream (will not affect overall Points value)
*Note: The White Bean Chili in the picture shows some pomegranate seeds and celery on top of the sour cream for garnish, which is a nice idea! But I used the reduced fat cheese and green onions instead.

Directions:
In a large pot over medium heat, or in a crock pot on medium, combine the onion, garlic and ground turkey and saute for 10 minutes, or until turkey is well browned. Add the chile peppers, cumin, oregano, cilantro, cinnamon, salt, cayenne pepper, and white pepper to taste and saute for 5 more minutes.
Add one can of the beans and the chicken broth to the pot. Take the second can of beans and puree them in a blender or food processor. Add this to the pot along with the Half and Half. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes. If you are using this as a crock pot recipe, let simmer on low heat for about 2-4 hrs. Top each serving with 1/8 cup of reduced fat shredded Monterey Jack cheese, green onions, and 1 tbsp of reduced fat sour cream (optional). Recipe makes 4 HUGE servings.

Serving size is about 2 cups<br
