Sometimes you just GOTTA have something sweet. But before you go and dive headfirst into that calorie laden dessert that will ruin all the good eating you did all day, consider having one of today’s Fabulous Food Finds – Special K Moments Indulgent Snack Bites. I found these recently at my local Target, and was pretty excited to give them a try. They come in two flavors – Caramel Pretzel Bliss and Dreamy Coconut. They were both fantastic! And at 2 Points Plus each, they are just the right size to satisfy your sweet tooth without going overboard. BONUS: They freeze really well! After discovering how tasty they were, I went back to Target and grabbed a few more boxes to stash in my freezer. I always get a sweets craving in the evening, so these Special K Moments have been a lifesaver.

Food Should Taste Good Pita Puffs

When you’ve got the munchies, these new Pita Puffs from Food Should Taste Good are the way to go! They are little, puffed out pita bites that are crisp, airy, and absolutely delicious. They come in 4 different flavors too: Chives, Multigrain, Pesto and Cinnamon Sugar. I tried them all and thought the Cinnamon Sugar was the best, though the Pesto was a close second! I bought a couple bags of the cinnamon sugar flavor and have been munching on these in the evening after dinner, when I start to have cravings for sweets. And these actually help me satisfy two cravings in one, making it the perfect sweet and salty crunchy snack.

Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Dressing

I usually prefer a lemon juice or vinegar based salad dressing, but somedays, I just need something good and creamy, and this new Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Dressing from Bolthouse Farms is perfect! It’s so creamy, fresh and flavorful, and yet still very low in Weight Watchers Points – each 2 tbsp serving is just 1 Points Plus! And my favorite part is that the ingredients list is all natural, so the taste is pure and delicious. They have tons of other flavors too, most of which I’ve tried, and they are all fantastic. But the Cilantro Avocado and Mango Chipotle are their newest (I haven’t tried the Mango Chipotle yet, but it’s on my grocery list!). If you are looking for a delicious way to smother your greens in creamy, heavenly goodness, then pick up a bottle asap!

Always on the lookout for healthy, Weight Watchers friendly snacks, I’m sharing one of my new, FAVORITE crackers for today’s Fabulous Food Find Fridays post. I recently came across Van’s Natural Foods Multigrain Gluten Free Crackers on the shelf at my local Target, and grabbed a couple of boxes to take home. First of all, each 30 cracker serving is just 4 Points +, making them a wonderful Weight Watchers snack to have on hand. But, these whole grain, gluten free goodies are also minimally processed and made from fresh ingredients. Plus, did I mention they taste fantastic? Crispy, crunchy and delicious, they are loaded with 16g of whole grains including oats, quinoa and amaranth. After enjoying them with some of my cauliflower hummus, I got the idea to utilize them in an old recipe I grew up with that was in need of a healthy makeover…my mom’s Vegetable Cheese Casserole. I originally came across Snikiddy Eat Your Vegetables Chips at a Babies R Us store and decided to give them a try. Man, were they good!!! Totally not what I was expecting. Ok, StarKist Tuna Creations may have been around for a while now, but in the instance that any of you may be unaware, I feel that it’s necessary to let you all know about them. Perfect for packing a quick lunch on a busy weekday, these portion controlled, individual packets of flavored tuna are nothing short of fantastic. They come in 5 different flavors (Lemon Pepper, Hickory Smoked, Ranch, Herb & Garlic, Sweet & Spicy), but my personal favorite is the Ranch…sooooooo good! Toss it with some fresh greens for an easy and delicious tuna salad, spread it on some whole wheat toast or crackers, or just eat it straight out of the pouch. StarKist Tuna Creations have been a life saver for me on the days I have a hectic schedule and don’t always have the time to prepare a healthy lunch.

I have long since been a fan of Applegate’s line of meat and cheese products, but when I saw their new uncured light pepperoni at my local Whole Foods, I literally jumped for joy (so much that the lady nearby looking at yogurts had to come over and ask me what I was so excited about). Applegate’s new Mini Uncured Turkey Pepperoni is a delicious, lighter pepperoni that is not only low in Weight Watchers Points Plus, it’s all natural and nitrate free!! I love cooking with turkey pepperoni, but I won’t feed any meats with nitrates to my kids. But now, I can create some delicious new Weight Watchers recipes using this light pepperoni and not have to worry about that. Yay!! Justin’s Almond Butter – 5 Points +

I have always adored peanut butter, but when I came across Justin’s fabulous looking line of Nut Butters at my local Whole Foods, I was dying to give it a try and compare it to my beloved peanut butter. The majority of their nut butters are almond based, as opposed to peanut. Almonds are one of, if not THE healthiest nut you can eat, and I love finding ways to incorporate more nuts in my diet. Plus, Justin’s Nut Butters offer a selection of six amazing flavors: Classic Almond, Honey Almond, Maple Almond, Chocolate Almond, Vanilla Almond and Chocolate Hazelnut, in addition to also offering a Classic Peanut Butter and Honey Peanut Butter. So I grabbed myself a jar of the Vanilla Almond Butter, and a few packets of other flavors to sample (yes, they also come in portion controlled packets, people!) I decided to try my new almond butter in a very basic way…spread onto some apple slices. OH EM GEE. It was absolutely divine! The flavor of the almond comes through perfectly, with just the slightest hint of vanilla. And I loved how fresh this product tasted…like it was literally made from scratch in my kitchen. I was thrilled with how absolutely delicious this stuff was! MOVE OVER PEANUT BUTTER. Keep in mind though, this is a nut butter, so in order to incorporate it into my Weight Watchers plan, I can’t go overboard with it. It is a healthy fat though, so a serving size of 2 tbsp for 5 Points + is ideal. Portion controlled chocolate covered pretzels…YES!!! This is exactly what I need! No matter how many times I say I’m going to buy a bag of chocolate covered pretzels and then divide them up into individual portions, I never do it, and I always end up eating way more chocolate covered pretzels than I should. But thanks to Special K, I can now buy them in convenient, 100 calorie portions that are perfect for when I need a little something to satisfy my sweet/salty tooth all in one delicious bite. I have always adored chocolate covered pretzels, but they are a major trigger food for me, so having them ready to go in prepackaged form for just 3 Points Plus each, makes one thing about dieting a lot easier.

Trader Joe's Pomegranate Blueberry Sherbet

Today’s Fabulous Food Find is yet another gem from the fabulous Trader Joe’s. Their Pomegranate Blueberry Sherbet is one of the absolute BEST frozen sorbets/sherbets I’ve ever had. It is so silky and smooth, and the sweet and tart flavor combination is perfection. It’s lighter and more refreshing than fat-laden ice cream, but it’s also a lot creamier than most other brands of sherbet I’ve tried, and believe me, I’ve tried a TON. It tastes real, not artificial, and is so amazingly good that I find myself making more and more quick trips to Trader Joe’s just to buy more. Each 1/2 cup serving is 4 Points Plus, but if you are having a bad day and eat the whole pint in one sitting, well that ends up being 14 Points Plus, which really isn’t that bad, considering. C’mon…you know you’ve had those kinda days… :)

New York Style Sweet Swirls Cinnabon Baked Snack Crisps

If you love those deliciously dangerous Cinnabon rolls at the mall, then you will flip for today’s Fabulous Food Find – New York Style Sweet Swirls Cinnabon Baked Snack Crisps! They taste like someone took a giant Cinnabon roll, smooshed it down and baked it into the most amazing cracker you’d ever had. Each 7-piece serving is just 4 Points Plus, making it a great sweet tooth-busting snack. They recently caught my eye while I was shopping at a local Ralph’s, and I decided to give them a try for the sake of research. And because I LOOOOOOOOOVE Cinnabon rolls. Though, I haven’t had one in more years than I can recall due to their deadly nutritional stats. They were way more tasty than I had anticipated, and I will absolutely be buying these again.
