It’s very inexpensive, and it allows you to not only track and calculate Points Plus values for foods, and the amount of Points Plus you’ve used in a day, it also will calculate your Points Plus allowance.

Another option, is to check out the page on my blog that provides you with some links on how to calculate your daily Weight Watchers Points Plus Allowance. On this page, I’ve provided direct links to free online Weight Watchers Calculators that were created by a fellow Weight Watchers member. She has put together some amazing WW cheat cheats that I highly recommend you check out, as they will help you:
- Determine your Weight Watchers Points Plus Daily Allowance
- Calculate Activity Points Plus
- Calculate Food Points Plus

Additionally, the site offers a great zero Points Plus Food List, a Filling Foods List, Good Health Guidelines, and TONS of other great tips and tools. I find it a lot easier to use than the Weight Watchers Online E-Tools!

I know that it is frustrating to many of us who’ve been struggling to find free Weight Watchers information…it’s really a shame that Weight Watchers has made that so difficult (P.S. Don’t be surprised if they make me take down this post!). But hopefully, as a community of Weight Watchers, we can continue to help and support each other and make our biggest struggle to shed the pounds vs. tracking down the tools that we need to follow the program.

And in the meantime, I’ll get back to working on some more free Weight Watchers Recipes!!

Thank you all for your support and for reading my blog. :)

Readers — I Need You to Weigh In!!!!

Weight Loss Programs and Diets

Weight Watchers Diet

New PointsPlus

Points Plus

Weight Watchers Points Plan

Weight Watchers PointsPlus Program
<guid

And of I bought a ton of materials to help me out – one of which includes the new Weight Watchers Dining Out Companion which is VITAL if you want to know the new Points Plus values for all your fave restaurants. The other must buy item was the new Points Calculator, which Weight Watchers now REQUIRES you to have if you want to figure out the new Points Plus values for everything you eat. Sad that it’s not the free, sliding Points Finder like before, which was so easy…..oh, and did I mention it was FREE?!? So, given that this digital Points calculator is a must, I ponied up the funds and bought it. I only paid $5.95 instead of the regular price of $11.95 — this was a special they were having through December, so folks, I highly recommend taking advantage of this item while it’s at such a good price, as there’s no way around it — you will NEED it if you want to follow the new Weight Watchers Points Plus plan. Which brings me to another topic of discussion — my recipes. In my previous post, I mentioned that I would be posting both the old Points value and the new Points Plus value for each new recipe. However, after much consideration and many emails from my readers, and please don’t hate me for this, but I’ve decided to post only the new Points Plus values for all new recipes. I realize that this may be a bummer for all of you who still wish to follow the Points plan, but in not too long, the old Points plan will be entirely irrelevant. With all of the old Points info online diminishing quickly, it’s just going to be too complicated and time consuming to include both Points values in my recipes. Additionally, the new Points Plus program really is great and makes a lot of sense. It also encourages healthier eating, which I really love. Since I’ve embraced the new program, I really hope that all of you will too. As for all my old recipes, for now, I will keep them as the old Points value, but may try to change that in the not too soon future. Together, we’ll get through the change and fully switch over to the new Points Plus plan! Stay tuned for my very first Points + recipe later today!!

New Weight Watchers Points Plan for 2011!!

New Health and Food Products & Services

Weight Loss Programs and Diets

Weight Watchers Diet

New Weight Watchers Points Plan

New Weight Watchers Program

PointsPlus

Weight Watchers 2011
<guid

Now, I don’t really know a whole lot about it myself yet, as Weight Watchers is being really hush hush about it, but based on the UK’s version of it, which is called the Weight Watchers ProPoints Plan, here’s what we know so far:
* Instead of calculating a food’s Points on calories, fat and fiber, there will be more of an emphasis on the quality of the food. Brown rice will have fewer Points than white rice. A 100-calorie pack of cookies will have more Points than 100 calories of chicken breast, and so on.
* To encourage better food choices, fruit and most vegetables will have zero Points. Starchy vegetables, such as potatoes, corn and peas will not be in the free Points list.
* The minimum amount of Points assigned to people will be 29 Points, but they’ll also be given a weekly allowance of 49 Points as “Real Living” Points to be used on fun foods.

So that’s the scoop thus far. As I learn more about the program, I’ll make sure to keep you all posted. Some of you have asked how I’ll handle the calculation of my “Point Total” based on the new Weight Watchers Plan. What I will end up doing is including a Point Total for the new plan, but I’ll still include my regular Point Total as well, so those of you who remain on the old Weight Watchers Points plan, can still use the recipes. As for all my old recipes, I HOPE to go back and add the new Point Totals to each of those recipes in time, but first I will need to learn how Points will be calculated with the new PointsPlus Plan, and see how time consuming it will be to revamp all those old recipes.

For now, until I’m fully onto the new Weight Watchers Points Plus Program, I’ll still be posting recipes with my regular “Point Total”.

More info to come as I get wind of it!! Keep reading, and get ready and excited for a new year!!!!

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution – Sign the Petition!

New Health and Food Products & Services

Weight Loss Programs and Diets

Foiod Revolution Petition

Food Revolution Recipes

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

The Naked Chef
<guid

While I cannot tell you how to determine your Weight Watchers Points Target, as I am not affiliated with Weight Watchers, I can share with you the way to calculate your allotted daily point total for LaaLoosh Recipes. :) Simply answer the questions, and add up your score!

How to Calculate Your Daily Point Total

1. Gender:
Female- score 2
Male- score 8
A nursing mom- score 12

2. What is your age?
17-26- score 4
27-37- score 3
38-47- score 2
48-58- score 1
over 58- score 0

3. How much do you weigh?
Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds.
(for example, if you weight 199, you will add 19 to your score)

4. What is your height?
Under 5’1- score 0
5’1-5’10- score 1
Over 5’10- score 2

5. Do you spend the majority of your day…
Sitting down? score 0
Occasionally sitting? score 2
Walking most of the time? score 4
Doing physically hard work most of the time? score 6

Just total up your score, and that will give your daily point total target!
Additionally, you get an extra 35 flexible points per week, to use if you’d like. These are like Bonus Points to use for a special event or if you just happen to have a day where you go over your daily point total allowance. You do not have to use these additional 35 points, and if you don’t, they DO NOT carry over into the next week. So once they’re gone, they’re gone, people!

Weight Watchers and Applebee’s Are Being Sued

Weight Loss Programs and Diets

Weight Watchers Diet
<guid

Doing this is an incredibly helpful tool in getting you to your weight loss goals, and a recent study by the American Journal of Preventative Medicine found that people who keep a food diary enjoy twice the weight loss of those who rely solely on dieting and exercising. So, I’ve created this awesome Weight Watchers Food Journal that you can download and print – for FREE! It’s very easy to use — simply write down the food that you eat and its Points value, and then deduct it from your daily Points balance. You can even track your Flex Points used! I also included little check boxes that will help you make sure you are consuming your recommended portions of water, dairy and fruits & vegetables. Using this Weight Watchers Food Diary couldn’t be easier!

I hope you’ll find this daily food journal as helpful as I have and that it will help you stick to your Daily Points Range and be aware of what you are eating everyday.

To download and print this FREE Weight Watchers Food Journal, click <a
