One of my readers asked if I knew of any good, low PointsPlus Granola Bars that would be a healthy option for a snack or breakfast on the go. My favorite kind are the Kashi Chewy Granola Bars. They are loaded with protein and fiber, and yet lower in calories, fat and carbs than most other brands, making them just 3 Points Plus each. To make them, Kashi uses a unique blend of seven whole grains and sesame together with whole, roasted nuts, sun-dried fruit, and a touch of wildflower honey. And with 4g of Fiber and 5-7g of Protein each, they are as nourishing as they are tasty.

It’s no secret that there TONS of great, low calorie yogurts on the market that are low in PointsPlus, and pretty tasty (Fiber One, Yoplait, Dannon…the list goes on). In fact, I have been a frequent user of most brands of these types of yogurts. At least I was. Until I found Wallaby Organic Yogurts. Available for a great price at most health food grocery stores (I get mine at Whole Foods Market or Henry’s/Sprouts for about $.99 each), they have no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives and taste WAY better than all the other brands that use an artificial sweetener to keep their calorie counts low. Each 6oz cup of the Wallaby Nonfat Yogurts have just 3 PointsPlus each. Granted, they may be a Point or two higher than the other brands, but you are getting a MUCH better tasting yogurt that has no artificial crap in it. Well worth it, in my opinion. Want to learn more about these tasty yogurts, keep reading, folks!

It’s Tuesday, and I’m feeling LAZY. So tonight’s dinner will be my trusted and true, slow cooker Pot Roast Recipe. I love the ease of WW crock pot recipes and the fact that they are always so yummy! This particular pot roast is super flavorful and delicious, and the meat is so moist, it just melts in your mouth, like butter, baby! It’s a healthier version with a LOT less sodium, fat and calories than traditional pot roast recipes, but still tastes just as good. And at just 5 Points + per serving, including the gravy, it makes an awesome, low calorie weeknight dinner idea. Easy for me, good for my family!
