So here’s the thing… Trader Joe’s doesn’t actually manufacture anything – they engage third-party contract manufacturers to make their stuff for them. In many cases, TJ’s finds products that they really like, and they ask the companies to private label the product under the Trader Joe’s brand for them. In rare cases, Trader Joe’s reaches out to companies and develops products that cannot be found elsewhere. I’m telling you this because there’s a chance that there may still be a small company out there that manufactures Righteous Rounds under a different name. I’ve tried searching for non-baked chocolate chip natural cookies, tried searching for chocolate chip cookies that use fruit and vegetable extracts, and I’ve tried searching every other way I can think to search for the cookies, but I’ve been unsuccessful. BUT in the event the cookies are still out there but aren’t being sold online and are only sold through brick and mortar retail, I wouldn’t be able to find them that way anyway.

So, I think we need to all make sure that we’re checking the niche brands within natural food stores to see if the original product is still out there. I’ve tried to find them on the East Coast, but I’ve been unsuccessful. Let me know if you guys have any luck!

  2. Right there with you!!! I love these cookies so much and have noticed the last two trips to TJ's that there are no Righteous Rounds on the shelf. I finally asked about them tonight and heard the bad news. I have sent a note to TJ's expressing my love for the little cookies, and asked them to reconsider pulling them. Hopefully, they will get enough response and bring them back. They don't seem to understand that there is no other cookie like these out there- full of good ingredients, low in sugar AND fat (come on, that doesn't exist and taste worth a darn!). I'm glad to know there are others out there like me, carriers of the Righteous Rounds torch!!! ; )

I have never tried these cookies, but will if I see them. I did e-mail Trader Joe's to keep this item.

  4. I wish you well in this endeavor. Last Winter, I contacted Trader Joe about a product that I discovered was discontinued and was politely but firmly told that they had no intentions of putting the product on the market again. Their response to my question as to who made it for them, so that I could find it in another venue, they said it was made just for them and the formula was a secret that could not be shared. Thus, I now have no other outlet for the item that I had enjoyed for so long.
