On top of that, it’s loaded with good for you ingredients and is a great weight watchers vegetarian recipe too. Though it’s not an official one of Weight Watchers Sandwich Recipes, it’s ideal for any dieter who loves all the yumminess of Italian sandwiches, but who doesn’t want to spend a week’s worth of Points on 1 sandwich.

Italian Sandwich Recipe

– 2 Tbsp basil, chopped
– 1 tbsp toasted pine nuts
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tsp Kosher salt
– 1 tsp olive oil
– 2 Orowheat Fill ‘Ems Rolls
– 2 slices reduced fat provolone cheese, cut in half once
– ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
– 1 small roma tomato, thinly sliced
– 1 tbsp black olives, sliced
– 2 tbsp pepperocinis, sliced
– 1 cup lettuce, mixed leaves

Combine basil, salt, pine nuts, garlic and oil and blend in a food processor until smooth. Spread rolls evenly with sauce. Top each roll with equal amounts of cheese, olives, tomatoes, pepperoncini, lettuce, and onions.
