Even though it’s 108 degrees outside today, I’ve been fantasizing about delicious fall pumpkin recipes for days.

This weekend, while luxuriously sipping my Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, I found myself ogling the case of beautiful pastries, and wishing that there was at least ONE that I could eat that wasn’t an obscene amount of Weight Watchers Points. I was inspired and determined to come up with some unofficial Weight Watchers Pumpkin Recipes that would let me enjoy the fabulous flavors of fall without destroying my diet.

And in doing so, I made these delicious Pumpkin Muffins that have just a 3 Points each. A perfect seasonal snack recipe to serve with your morning coffee or tea, or to indulge in as a late night snack.

Regardless, if you are a fan of all things pumpkin, definitely give this low calorie pumpkin muffin recipe a try!

Pumpkin Muffins Recipe

  • 1 18 oz box of spice cake mix
  • 1 15 oz can of pure pumpkin
  • ½ cup applesauce
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice

  1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Spoon into muffin tins, either lightly sprayed or lined with muffin cups. You’ll use about 1/4 cup of batter per cup.
  3. Bake as directed on cake box.

Entire recipe makes 24 muffins
Serving size is 1 muffin
Each serving = 3 Points

  1. These turned out really well. They were moist and tasty. I calculated the smart points from a Duncan Hines cake mix. All the ingredients other than the mix are 0 points, so it came out to 4 smart points for me.

  2. Linda Padgett

These are amazing and super easy. I baked them for the minimum amount to keep them moist. Wonderful.

I’m used to having very heavy and full of calories pumpkin bread every year around this time so I’m trying to find something a little lighter and healthier this year so I don’t feel as guilty. I am going to definitely try out this recipe to see if this could work as a replacement. Thanks again for the great recipe!

  5. These were awesome!!!! I've made a few muffin recipes that I haven't been impressed with. These were perfect and sooo easy!!!! My kids ate them up! Thanks!

  6. Love the taste. Very easy to make and very filling. My question is:Was this recipe converted to the new points plus formula?

  7. I love this recipe and pretty much all the recipes you post! You are wonderful! Thank you for providing awesome, delish, low points recipes. They are truly amazing and I love how simple they are as well. Great for busy moms!

  8. I tasted a bite from my friend who made them and was amazed! It was filling and tasty. The recipe is extremely easy and takes little time to throw together. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin but this was just right and again, filling!

AMAZING!!! These were unbelievably good. I added a handful of chocolate chips (which I know will make the points go up) and I made 12 large muffins and then 24 mini muffins!!! Thanks so much! ALL of your recipes that I have tried have been EXCELLENT!!!

  10. These were A-Maz-Ing! I served them up for our Autumn get together….and people wouldn't stop raving about them. Even my 9yo daughter wanted to be sure she could have some with breakfast the next day. I kept raving about them only being 3 WW POINTS. Perfect fall fix!
