Gardein Crispy Tenders

I am not by any means a vegetarian, but I am always looking for healthier food options that taste just as good as the “bad” versions but are also lower in Points. Since chicken nuggets and chicken tenders have always been a favorite food of mine (and my 3yr old), I have tried tons of different brands, looking for a tasty, yet healthier alternative. I have found a few good ones, but when I recently tasted these Gardein Crispy Tenders, I felt like I had finally hit the jackpot. They were amazing! And at just 2 Points for two tenders, this is something I’ll be eating on a very regular basis. Granted, they aren’t huge..they are definitely bigger than a chicken nugget, but not quite as big as a chicken finger. But they taste GREAT, and taste almost exactly like chicken. The breading even tastes a bit like KFC’s. But these Gardein Crispy Tenders are entirely plant based, making them a fantastic vegan food too.

  1. Love you website!!! So glad you incooperated Gardein and other vegan products. I love Gardein with my veggies, salad etc. Have you tried field roast? I love their smoked Apple sage sausages. 6 points for 1 sausage.
Thanks so much for thinking of the vegans. ??????

  2. I think they just upped the point value on this product and it doesn’t make sense because if you enter the nutrition facts, it’s not high. Did anyone else notice this or understand why the points would go up?

Our family is Catholic and we have had a hard time every year trying to find meat free foods to have during the Lenten season. Its especially hard because we dont eat fish so we always have cheese pizza. We tried these “chicken” fingers and they are SO GOOD! They taste just like chicken. No weird texture either. Great Find!!!

  6. I made a special trip to Winn Dixie and they don’t carry them :(  Hopefully Publix does; I can’t wait to try them.

These were really satisfying–crunchy, great seasoning, convincingly chicken-y. I dipped mine in 0pp Spicy, Smoky Peach Salsa from Trader Joe’s.

  8. I bought these in the bbq tangy wing style.  FOUR of them are two points!  I haven’t tried them yet though.

  9. I’ve been reading for a while, but never commented so I just wanted to say that I love your blog!  Thanks so much for all the recipes and suggestions!
