Crockpot Split Pea Soup

Simple and delicious! Just stick everything in the crockpot in the morning and turn it on. In the evening you've got a healthy, delicious soup ready to go.

  • 16 oz dried split peas
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 ham bone
  • 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup carrot chopped
  • Light sour cream for garnish optional
  • additional chopped ham for serving if desired


  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 4-6 hours, or low for 8-10 hours.
  3. Remove the ham bone and puree to desired consistency with an immersion blender.
  4. Serve hot with sour cream and additional ham, if desired.
