Creamy Chicken and Mushrooms Macaroni Crock Pot Recipe – 5 Point Value

I love cooking with a crock pot — it’s just so fast and easy. And quite honestly, I’m lazy a lot of the time, so I just don’t always have the energy to prepare fancy, yet laborious meals. But since I’m following the Weight Watchers plan, cooking at home is the best and easiest way to control my Points. So all of these awesome Weight Watchers crock pot recipes have been my life saver :). And if you are a pasta lover like me, you know hard it is to find good pasta recipes that aren’t too many Points. This pasta crock pot recipe is truly one of my favorites. It’s so yummy and creamy and is such a great comfort food. It’s fast and easy to make and is a great dish to take along to a potluck. Each filling serving yields just 5 Weight Watchers Points so you won’t break your Points bank by digging in. If you want something hearty and filling but without the extra fat and calories, this low Points crock pot recipe is a must try! Give it a shot!

Creamy Chicken and Mushrooms Macaroni Crock Pot Recipe

Ingredients:
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can Healthy Request Cream of Chicken Soup
1/4 cup Land O Lakes no-fat sour cream
16 oz. skinned & boned uncooked chicken breast, cut into 20 pieces
1 cup (one 4oz. can) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 1/3 cups (3oz) uncooked elbow macaroni
salt and pepper to taste

*Try this dish with with the Miracle Noodles pasta and shave off a whopping 3 Points per serving!!!

Directions:
Spray a slow cooker container with butter flavored cooking spray. In the prepared container, combine chicken soup & sour cream. Stir in chicken, mushrooms, and onion. Add uncooked macaroni. Mix well to combine. Cover & cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. Gently stir again just before serving. Enjoy! Makes 4 servings.

Serving Size = 1 cup
Each serving = 5 Weight Watchers Points

  1. I should have read the comments before I follow these instructions! Please do not do this recipe it is the worst! I never post negative comments about anything; however, this recipe is awful! I followed the directions to the note… And the food came out wishy and it burned my pot all the way around. I am not a professional cook by any means of imagination, that’s why I count on accurate recipes! Even my inexperience as a cook New better than to cook with so little liquid in the pot… But I gave this recepie the benefit of doubt.
    VERY DISSAPPOINTED!

  2. I took the advice and added chicken stock. I also added some turkey bacon and half of a ranch dressing mix packet. It cooked in about three hours and was delicious!

    Sorry but this recipe needs some revision! It burned and some noodles were mushy and some were not cooked! Very disappointed!!

  4. I have made a lot of weight watcher recipes but this is by far THE worst ever! I followed the directions and my elbows became mush causing the dish to taste like a super-starchy chicken & dumpling type stew. It was inedible and I had to order pizza for my kiddos while I ate a salad — boo-hiss!!!
    Plus it is 9 pointsplus per serving.

  5. I made this tonight and it was OK. I used Kristin O's suggestions and added chicken stock and stirred a couple of times. I also added some shallot pepper to try and add some flavor. This was done in about 3 hours and had I cooked it any longer, the chicken would have been really dry (it was somewhat dry already). My husband liked it, my 9 year old liked it but didn't like the mushrooms and my 3 year old ate it. Oh, I did double the sour cream but didn't double the soup because I didn't have another can. :-)

  6. I made this today…after reading some of the reviews, I doubled the soup and sour cream. I also added chicken stock throughout the day and stirred it quite often. After 4 hours, I added frozen zucchini and also used fresh mushrooms. My husband said it tasted like chicken and dumplings….I thought with the few modifications, it is delicious!

  7. I tried this recipe & it was TERRIBLE! I think it would have tasted really good…but it HAS to be missing some liquid. Chicken stock perhaps? It completely burned all around the sides with my crock pot on the lowest setting (10 hours)….any ideas???

  8. If I dont put the mushrooms in this recipe will it take off any points? i cant eat mushrooms but the rest sounds great. thanks

    • Unfortunately, taking out the mushrooms wont remove any Points. But you can always substitute the mushrooms with another veggie….try asparagus or zucchini!
